CHICAGO (AP) -- A Chicago fire truck heading to a call crashed into a school bus this morning -- killing one firefighter and injuring three others.
The bus driver, who was also injured, had just finished dropping off the children for the day.
A fire department spokesman says the firefighter killed was 44-year-old William Grant, a father of three and a 20-year veteran of the department.
The truck was knocked on its side after colliding with the bus.
The fire department says no one was cited at the scene for traffic violations, and the investigation of the accident would continue.
The bus was operated by Alltown Bus Services, and company spokesman Tom Vorndran says their "prayers go out to those involved."
