Fresh details on today's armed robbery in Loves Park, details just as shocking as the crime itself, the suspect in custody is a 14 year old boy.

Loves Park police say just before 10 this morning the boy walked into Associated Bank on North Second Street with a sawed off shot gun and demanded money. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash the 14 year old drove off in a gold Oldsmobile.

Loves Park Police spotted the car about an hour later in the parking lot of an apartment complex near Riverside and Rockton Avenue, they arrested the boy inside one of the apartments.

Police believe the 14 year old was acting alone, he's being held in a juvenile detention center unsure if he'll be charged as a minor or an adult.

Police have not yet recovered the stolen money.
