Animal cruelty and neglect charges against a Rockford woman who had over 70 animals on her property have been dropped.
Police used a search warrant to seize the animals from Kerry Brumm's home on Tipple Road in January. But a judge has thrown out that warrant based on it's wording and the way it was carried out. Forty-three animals have been returned to Brumm. Since the seizure she has put 25 of her animals up for adoption.
Brumm still faces two unrelated charges for accumulation of litter, which carries up to six months in jail and a $1,500 fine and violation of the county's burning ordinance.
