Illinois schools inflate their graduation rates.
According to a national study, Illinois' largest school districts are not making the grade when it comes to reporting high school graduation rates, especially for minority students.
The study done at Harvard University says school districts nationwide use self-serving statistics that hide the fact that only about half of all African-American, Latino and Native American students graduate with regular diplomas in four years.
Some of the data they used was from Rockford schools.
