La Voz Latina hosted a "Healthy Families Festival."
Those who came out had a chance to do everything from getting flu-shots to blood pressure checks.
There were also representatives with the Illinois Department of Health, the Diabetes Association and the American Cancer Society. And they all came armed with bilingual help.
The Director of La Voz Latina says this is all much-needed assistance for the Latino community.
"There's been a lot of studies about minority health and always one of the big issues is access. A lot of times people don't have information or they're shy about asking questions," Gomez said.
Gomez says there was also a lot of concern about the H1N1 virus and visitors had a chance to learn more about that Saturday as well.
