After Sept. 11, government officials have warned that terrorists could strike again, even here in the Rockford area.
That's why Saturday law enforcement officials from around the stateline area gathered at Rockford's petrolium plant to train for an actual, credible threat against the terminal.
Some of the demonstrations included how to disarm an explosive device and what to do if one of their own is hurt in the line of duty.
Officers say they learned a great deal from today's drill and have planned several more like it throughout the end of the year.
