About 50 students at the school broke out in a rash Wednesday morning.
No new cases were reported Thursday. The students were in gym class when the rash developed. By the afternoon the cases had cleared up, but school and health officials are still trying to figure out the cause.
Sue Fuller of the Health Department says the rash is not similar to the one at Carl Sandburg in Freeport. Last month more than 100 students there broke out in an itchy red rash.
The Stephenson County Health Department was unable to find the cause of that rash.
