He's the man behind the mic in both Radio and TV. A popular Rockford talk show host was laid to rest Saturday. WNTA's Chris Bowman died from a liver problem on Tuesday at Saint Anthony's Medical Center.
Saturday, the sign outside the Coronado read, “We will miss you Chris.” Family, friends, local dignitaries and loyal listeners came to the memorial service.
Bowman was known for his strong opinions and his willingness to take on anyone. His journalistic career started here at 23 WIFR in 1979. He worked several jobs in politics before returning to radio.
His show at WNTA was on the air for almost ten years. Chris bowman was 51 years old.
