Thousands of Senate employees are returning to their offices, as the first of three buildings shut down by the ricin incident reopens.

The Russell Senate Office Building was reopened a few minutes after noon Eastern time, and other closed office buildings may reopen sooner than expected.

The reopening came as tests showed no new traces of ricin, a deadly poison, anywhere in the Capitol complex. Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle says there's a chance all the
office buildings could be open by the end of the week. Right now, the plan calls for the Hart building to reopen tomorrow, and the Dirksen Building, where the ricin was found, to reopen Monday.

Law enforcement officials say a more thorough search of Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist's personal mailroom has turned up no additional traces of ricin and no threatening letters or messages.
