Prescription Drugs

While the cost of prescription drugs continues to climb, Congress is working to lower them.

The debate narrowly passed on the house floor last month. This week it's the senate's turn.

Lawmakers are trying to make lower costing generic drugs more available and expand Medicare to help the elderly pay their costly pharmacy bills.

Among the things seniors are demanding for in the new prescription drug bill legislation with no gaps, that can be applied to any senior in any situation, and a bill that is easily clear, concise and easy to understand.

The Senate will vote on a prescription drug bill within two weeks.
