Prices that grocery stores pay for beef dropped about 18 percent from December to early January, although those prices rebounded somewhat late last week.
Festival Foods meat manager Eldon Troller in Green Bay says there are better deals on beef for consumers. He says t-bones, ribeyes, New York strips and all premium steaks have dropped off more than $2.00 a pound.
