An Illinois company is recalling a product after it severely injured a two-year-old girl according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission,
Sassi America of Elk Grove Village is recalling its acrylic nail primer because the acid-based manicure aid did not come in childproof packaging, as required by law. Seventy-two thousand bottles are being recalled after a child suffered severe chemical burns after swallowing the primer.
The primer is packaged in amber-colored bottles with black caps labeled "Sassi". The model number 508, 509, 510, 511, or 512 is written on the front of the label. Consumers are urged to return the primer to the place of purchase for a refund.
