Fugitive on the run is finally brought to justice. The murder investigation began in Rockford and ended in Colorado.
Twenty-year-old Shawn Barmore of Rockford was arrested by U.S. Marshals and Sheriff's Deputies Thursday in Aurora, Colorado.
Barmore is accused in the shooting death of Pedro Marin last May. Marin's body was found in a vacant lot north of Hinkley Avenue in Rockford.
Working together with various law enforcement agencies, Rockford police were able to track down Barmore. He's now awaiting extradition to Winnebago County.
