ROCKFORD (WIFR) -- The Stateline chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness sponsored their 4th annual "Get To Know NAMI" open house on Tuesday.

The group has been helping people with mental illness and their families cope with and treat the disease for more than 25 years. The event at Khlem Arboretum showcased the group’s programs and services. Awards were handed out to people and organizations that go above and beyond to help those suffering from mental illness. WIFR received one of those awards.
