The Canadian National Railway Company is opening a community assistance center at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 2715 South Mulford Road, to help families affected by the evacuation from Friday night's fatal train derailment.

The center will be open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM and will see families in alphabetical order. Those with last names starting with A through I can come in Tuesday. Wednesday is for last names J to Q and Thursday is R through Z. Those who can't make their scheduled day can come in Friday.

It's all walk in, just bring proof of residency and you could receive some assistance and reimbursement.
