A Rockford drug and alcohol treatment center is expanding to serve more people in need.
The Rosecrance Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Center layed the cornerstone Friday morning to its new facility.
The development of this new 70,000 square foot facility has been in the works for about five years.
Patients come from all over northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin, and there is a waiting list for patients.
Rosecrance is a non-profit organization that helps thousands of adolescents and adults struggling with addiction.
