Grocery shoppers in the stateline will soon have a new option for buying food. A new store from a new chain is coming to town and bringing with it almost a 100 new jobs.
Winnebago Supervalu owner Larry Bolhouse is teaming up with "Niemann Foods Incorporated" Owner Rick Niemann to build a 35,000-square-foot grocery store to serve the Winnebago, Pecatonica and Westlake Village residents.
It's the same company that bought Cacciatore's in Byron. Bolhouse says his new partner will make it easier for rural communities to get what they need without driving into Rockford or Freeport.
