PECATONICA - The man who started a citizens group to help kick former Governor Rod Blagojevich out of office says he wants to be our next Lieutenant Governor.

Scott Lee Cohen, founder of "Rod Must Resign," was at the Winnebago County Fairgrounds today as part of a 15-city listening tour. Cohen is from the northwest suburb of Northbrook and owns an environmentally friendly cleaning product company. He says while he thinks Governor Pat Quinn is going a good job, there is room for improvement.

He says, "What I think Governor Quinn is lacking is someone like myself who's been in small business, who can come up with some creative ideas to raise revenues without raising taxes. Somebody who could sit down with him cause he's been a lifelong politician like himself. To have some fresh ideas from perspective, I think it's a good match."

Cohen pledges to attract new businesses to Illinois and make sure every family has affordable healthcare.

I would like to have Randy White comment, publicly, on Case Number 09 CD 016 before the Illinois State Board of Elections. A final order was issued in this matter on May 19, 2009. Seems that the Board of Elections has issued a ruling that indicates that Randy White violated 10 ILCS 5/9-9 by failing to include the required attribution of source on his fundraising/Internet site. That's right -- Randy White violated the law. He copped a nolo contendre plea - and was forced by the litigation to fix the campaign finance irregulaties. What a crook.

I find it interesting that every Democrat in the state can get things published in every paper in the state. However there has been a Republican running for Lieutenant Governor for over 4 years with an email base larger than the votes it takes to win the election trying to get articles published and not one has been published.
