Drinking coffee may help protect you against Diabetes. That's the conclusion of a medical study published in "Diabetes Care" Journal.
According to the study, drinking caffeinated coffee reduced the risk of developing type two Diabetes by as much as 60%. That includes people at high risk for the disease. Scientists say it's not the caffeine, but probably some other complex organic compounds in coffee that make the drink helpful.
While drinking coffee may help keep Diabetes at bay, that alone is probably not enough. Researchers believe the best way to prevent the disease are regular exercise, a low fat diet, and losing excess weight.
