Democratic presidential hopeful Carol Mosley Braun made a stop in Rockford Tuesday.
She told Rock Valley college students that America is ready for a female president. If elected, Braun says she'll fight to keep manufacturing jobs from going overseas.
Braun is a former U.S. Senator from Illinois. She did not win re-election in 2000.
