I was Captain of the corrections bureau several years ago before retirement. I see that Rick below is critical of others mistakes yet he makes them with his spelling of disgrace. The officer will have his day not only in court, but with the Sheriff. Most likely if it's his first time he will be "offered" counseling or a 28 day program. If he refused he will probably loose his job. As an officer I set the example for the officers to follow. They are human, have families and problems. Rick below says "he calls himself an officer". No, he is an officer but he didn't call himself one. I don't know this officer but I know about what I speak. He made a mistake if convicted and he will certainly pay the price for it. Dave below has the most appropriate remarks. It is an embarrassment to other officers who try to be the best in a field of no compliments, just complaints. Our job is not to set a good example for inmates. It's to hold them for the court and act professional.

Rick maybe you should remember that this guy is human. Are you telling me that you have never made a mistake that caused yourself some embbarrasment? The media has nothing better to do than smear someones name! How many DUI's were given out that night...quite a few...so where are their names at? how many times have you driven home drunk and got away with it?

I think that Jacob Roberts is a discrace to the public eye and to the correction officers that he works with and is even setting a bad example to the inmates who he is supposed to be setting a good example for! And he calls himself an officer! Like i said, he is a discrase!
