Sauk Village Police Chief Cora Beem says one person was taken to an Indiana hospital Tuesday night after an accident where a truck swerved off Illinois Route 394 and struck two homes south of Chicago.
Beem says the injured person was taken by ambulance to St. Margaret Mercy Hospital in Dyer, Indiana.
She says people were in the townhomes struck by the truck but they got out safely.
Firefighters have put out the fire that fully engulfed the homes.
She says the accident happened just after 6 p.m.
