A walk with friend’s ends in multiple shots and now 13-year-old Shontell Graham is dead.
Graham was walking with friends in the 600 block of Furman Street. A car approached the group and several shots were fired from a handgun. Graham was shot in the head and died early Sunday morning. Witnesses saw some black men leave the area in a brown over white Oldsmobile Cutlass.
Shontrell's death comes almost 3 years after his uncle Dominique Graham was shot and killed. Dominique, who was 15 at the time of his death, was found lying on the sidewalk at 408 Irving in January 2002. He was also the victim of a drive by shooting, also with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. At that time, police tied the shooting to an on-going gang war between two gangs, the Moes and the Wacos.
