Winnebago County workers headed back to work Saturday at River Bluff Nursing home. Before their shift 160 River Bluff workers picked up a strikers benefit package from AFSMCE Local 473. Workers say they are happy to be back but now worry about lay-offs. Winnebago County Administration says with this tentative agreement may result in county departments having to trim their budget. AFSCME says they will fight any lay-offs.
Workers also signed a commemorative strike sign. All county offices will be fully staffed on Monday. AFCME votes on the contract this Wednesday. The Winnebago County board votes on Thursday.
