Blagojevich spokesman Bradley Tusk says the governor endorses the key parts of the reform legislation. However, Tusk says the governor's amendatory veto means the Legislature must reconsider the whole bill during its fall session.
Tusk originally said Blagojevich signed the bill, but he later clarified that the governor actually signed a veto message supporting everything in the legislation except one provision.
The section Blagojevich vetoed would take away badges of police officers if a review board found they had committed perjury in a homicide case.
