A pole fire that left hundreds of people in the village of Winnebago without power has been restored.

A pole fire that left hundreds of people in the village of Winnebago without power has been restored.
A ComEd spokesman says lightning struck a pole near the 1400 block of south Meridian Road. The wires fell to the groung causing the transmformer bank to catch fire. Nearly 900 people were without power for at least two hours.
Right now, just three homes near the pole fire remain without power.
