Rockford police say 17-year-old Luis Jimenez was abducted Saturday morning as he left his apartment on Rockford's southeast side.

Jimenez was forced into his vehicle and driven to an unknown location. His car was found in a garage on South 2nd Street, but no sign of Jimenez until Monday morning. In the meantime, various ransom demands were made to a relative. No ransom was paid.

Monday morning, Jimenez was released unharmed near Cunningham and Springfield. His hands were tied behind his back and his face was covered. Police have very little information on the suspects, but they do believe two or three black men are involved. Police say the kidnapping appears to be drug related.

If you have any information on this incident you can call Rockford police or Crimestoppers.
