All 16 members of the council signed a letter today and sent it to Gov. Doyle. They want him to veto two items in the proposed state budget.
The aldermen say a proposed freeze on municipal tax levies would cut Milwaukee city revenue by $11 million.
And they say the bill also would cut $24 million in shared revenue to the city.
They say the city's bond rating also would be at risk and Milwaukee's special tax financing districts might not be able to generate revenue.
