Former Gov. Ryan was sentenced to six and half years in federal prison for racketeering conspiracy and other crimes.
The former pharmacist was convicted of steering big-money state contracts and leases to businessman Larry Warner.
Warner was also convicted of racketeering conspiracy and other crimes.
Ryan was ordered to pay over $600,000 in restitution for the money the state lost through overpriced leases steered to Warner. Ryan's lawyers say he is almost broke so it is unclear if he will be able to pay.
