Still No Motive in Wyoming Murder-Suicide

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) -- Police in Wyoming are releasing more details about the timing of the slayings of two college students by an Illinois man, who then killed himself.

But authorities say they still lack a motive for the killings.

Laramie Police Commander Dale Stalder says, on the morning of July 16th, 19-year-old Justin Geiger of South Beloit stabbed to death 20-year-old Adam Towler.

Geiger then attacked fellow University of Wyoming student Anthony Klochak with the knife, but Klochak was able to flee and suffered only minor wounds.

That's when 19-year-old Amber Carlson walked into the room. And police say Geiger shot and killed her before shooting himself.

The police commander says investigators haven't been able to piece together anything about Geiger leading up to the attacks and don't know what triggered them.
