The nation's 40th president now has his own Illinois holiday.
Governor Ryan signed into law a bill Wednesday that makes Feb. 6 Ronald Reagan Day. Reagan was born in Tapioca and spent his childhood in Dixon.
From 1928 to 1932 he went to Eureka College. Reagan then went on to Hollywood for an accomplished acting career before spending eight years in the White House.
Ryan says Reagan was one the great presidents of our time and deserves to have his own day.
