SUSSEX, Wis. (AP) -- The nation's third largest commercial printer is reducing production and cutting about 550 jobs, most in its home state of Wisconsin.

Quad/Graphics says the layoffs this week amount to about 5.6 percent of its domestic workforce and will include both production and administrative positions.
Jobs will be lost in five states, with about 400 coming from Quad/Graphics' five Wisconsin plants. About 66 percent of the company's workers are in Wisconsin.
Quad/Graphics CEO Joel Quadracci says the printing industry must cut capacity to better match reduced demand.
Sussex-based Quad/Graphics prints magazines, catalogs and other commercial products. Its other Wisconsin plants are in Pewaukee, Lomira, West Allis and Hartford.
The company would not say how many jobs would be lost at each plant.
