A Freeport family is turning a tragic accident into a life lesson for those driving past their home.
8-year-old Becky Teal was hit by a car while crossing Route 75 in Freeport 15 years ago.
Her father and neighbor have posted a 6ft. sign in memory of the little girl.
Neighbors complain drivers are exceeding the speed limit causing a danger to those living in the area.
Becky Teal would be 23 years old if she were alive today.
Charles Boland says he plans on adding a second sign to his yard so drivers heading east can see it.
