Regardless of the impeachment outcome, the fallout from the Blagojevich scandal goes on. Friday, the Illinois Supreme Court said Secretary of State Jesse White's signature is not required to validate Roland Burris' appointment to the U.S. Senate.
But Senator Dick Durbin still says the senate will not seat Burris without White's signature.
The court's decision states "no further action is required by the secretary of state or any other official to make the appointment valid."
Burris was turned away from the U.S. Senate this week in part because his appointment by Blagojevich lacks White's signature.
