At least eleven people, some possibly underage were at a party thrown by two tenant's at Hampton Meadows. Shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday morning, the second story apartment balcony collapsed. Eight people were taken to the hospital with the worst of the injuries being a broken ankle, foot and leg.
Hampton Meadows is owned by Hampton Properties who say this has never happened. Hampton Properties says they are investigating. Some parents of those injured tell 23 News that they are looking into suing Hampton Properties. The two tenants who lived in the apartment did not have renters insurance.
