It was opening day for the Burchard Hills Family Health-care Center. The Pretzel City has been waiting three years for the new facility to be complete. The staff will serve seven counties and supply over 100 new jobs. However, Burchard Hills is already making a name for itself, by trying to go paperless with computers in each room, and having more than nine departments.
Dr.Michael Perry, President and CEO of FHN says," We are the largest employer in northwest Illinois and in addition to giving health care to this area we are also the economic engine for this area as well and a large employer of a wide variety of people."
There is still more than 1300 hundred square feet of space for four to five more providers to work at the health center
