While many local businesses are just hoping to hang on, one stateline aerospace company is looking to reach new heights through expansion.
Other small businesses have fallen off the track, but Kaney Aerospace stays on the runway, thanks in part to the stability of their product. President Jeff Kaney says aircrafts are so long term it allows for constant deman. Recently Kaney purchased Ardekin Precision. He says it's an example of walking the fine line of being conservative during these down times and being aggressive.
"We spend a lot of time trying to figure out where those opportunities are. Where we can help out. Because with anything, when the economy's going up there's opportunity. That one tends to be easy to see. But when the economy's going down that takes some special focus and creativity That's really what we pide ourselves here in doing.."
