My sister a grade school teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada would like to move back to Illinois, but she has a 9 yr old Autistic boy in a program which she receives financial assistance for. Since Illinois programs are difficult to benefit from, she can not afford to move here, close to her family, where she & her family can get much needed support. If a program was made available for her son, so he can be in a progressive program for Autism, this would be a huge benefit & give him a chance to be independent by the time he is an adult. In the long run, imagine how much money the state would save by having a much higher percentage of these children, becoming independent, not in need of life long care or having to be instituonalized

Hooray. Having 2 children with Autism I am thrilled to say the least!! Now when parents like me look for alternative treatments and additional therapies insurances cannot deny us anymore. I hope supplemental vitamins and medicines are approved in this plan also.
