My prayers are with this child and his family. When the investigation has been completed, the information will be released. This is America, with English being our language. People need to assimilate to the US, not the US cater to them. They need to learn our language, not the other way around.

My heart goes out to the family but the plain fact is THEY should know OUR language BEFORE they come here. Anyone coming to reside in the US should have the language skills required to speak with officials and authorities. The lack of information and communication is not the fault of the police or the school board. It is the fault of a non english speaking family. It is a tragic accident and nothing else. The family should not be entitled to any kind of monetary restitution. As far as Miguel's Law goes that money would be better spent on programs to teach non-english speaking residents to speak english effectively so they can communicate with others. The safety of the children of their community is at stake. No other country in the world spends the money we do to accomodate a different language or culture. I am of hispanic decentso this is not racial. My Grandfather immigrated here only AFTER he had learned the language. He didn't lack of communication on anyone but himself.
