The Roscoe Police Department officially gets a new chief today. Jamie Evans will be presented to the Village Board of Trustees tonight as Chief of the Roscoe Police Department.
Evans had been serving as interim chief since last month, and has been with the department for ten years now.
She says she wants Roscoe citizens to know their voices will be heard. Evans says as chief, she plans to have officers who are trained in specific departments, like a full-time detective, a crime scene officer and a public relations officer.
