The 17-month old girl was visiting with family Saturday in the 3100 block of 7th Street. A stray pit bull wandered into the neighborhood and grabbed on the little girl. The dog then dragged her about a half a block. Family says they rushed to help her and then another pit bull fought the other dog to release the little girl.

The dog did not have tags on so animal services is investigating to find who the owner is. Monday on 23 News at Six and the Update at Ten 23 News Anchor Laura Gibbs has part two of the series, “When Dogs Attack.”
