Due to the struggling economy Ft. Myers is no longer a go out of the Rockford Airport. The airline's looking to provide the flights has opted not too come to Rockford because of market conditions.

Right now RFD officials say they are looking into other carriers.

Unless you have late breaking news and a reliable source, I'd say I'm surprised by the statement, as I'm personally working this issue on behalf of the airport. And as of when I left work today we were a) still working with the prospective airline (the original airline in question) as well b) others.
