Gov. Rod Blagojevich and Chicago Mayor Richard Daley are in Washington Wednesday in hopes of bringing more money to Illinois.
Blagojevich and Daley plan to lobby for more federal funds for education, transportation and Medicaid.
The pair are scheduled to meet with U.S. Senator Dick Durbin and Minority Leader Tom Daschle on Capitol Hill Wednesday morning. Then they'll attend a luncheon with the full Illinois delegation.
Congress is working on a major rewrite of transportation legislation. And Blagojevich and Daley are hoping to get a bunch of money from that for their state.
