Gov. Rod Blagojevich Tuesday named John Mitola as chairman of the Illinois Toll Highway Authority.
The 38-year-old is CEO of Electric City Corporation. He replaces Art Philip whose term expires tomorrow.
At a news conference Tuesday, the governor also named three new members to the tollway's board and renewed the term of a fifth.
The board members and chairman have all agreed to work for free. That's a change. In the past, the board's chairman made about $32,000 a year and members got about $28,000
Blagojevich also says he's creating an inspector general for the tollway. That person will report to the state inspector general on allegations of corruption and mismanagement.
