There are also renewed fears tonight about our 401- K Plans. Local Financial Experts say while they understand the emotions behind wanting to pull money out of our retirement funds... that would the wrong answer. Instead.. experts say we should be looking at new ways to diversify our plans.
" Don't put all of your eggs in one basket so you want some diversification you want some exposure. on the fixed income or bond side to treasury corporate bonds and maybe corporate inflation on the stock and equity side small cap stocks large cap stocks international stocks and commodities and weights", says Scott Laue of Savant.
Laue says from 19-26 through 2007.. the average return in 401 K plans is more than 10% according to the S and P 500, which Laue says is a pretty good rate.
