Their faces mark the main page of the Jordan Times website.
And then comes the disturbing story of Taylor Luck and Holli Chmela, missing writers for the newspaper, one with a Stateline tie.
"Taylor was one of those individuals who was well known on campus, everybody knew him," Dean of Students Bill Flanagan said.
Flanagan says Luck's disappearance first hit campus Wednesday afternoon. Details were sketchy.
"Were just very concerned for he and his family and all of his friends," Flanagan said.
According to the Jordan Times website, Luck and his co-worker took a trip to Lebanon for vacation. They were supposed to return Saturday, October 4th but have yet to be heard from.
The article also says a friend last contacted the missing pair October 1st. They apparently were heading to Lebanon that day, then traveling to Syria on the way back to Jordan. Lebanese authorities tell the Jordan Times they're "concerned about this case" and are "closely "following the issue."
As Flanagan types away at an email back in Beloit, he prays for the best.
"I'm just hopeful that he'll come back to campus and report back to us about his adventure. That's the way I hope this ends us," Flanagan said.
Flanagan says Luck developed a passion for the Arabic world while at Beloit College. He spent two trips studying in Jordan. And moved there after graduation to work at the newspaper.
