Representatives have come to Rockford from around the world to take part in a unique training program with a goal to make us healthier.
Dr. Hans Deihl is the founder of the Chip program. Short for the coronary health improvement project. Fifteen people have come to Rockford from around the world for a training program to become certified to offer chip in their communities, hospitals, and businesses.
Chip is an intense lifestyle intervention program. Trainers work with individuals to lower blood pressure, reduce excess weight, increase exercise, and cut out smoking. But does chip actually work?
Results show on average, participants lower their cholesterol by 10 to 20%, loose six pounds, and decrease depression.
