“It's as clear as mud.” That’s what one Boone County board member said Wednesday night as the board tried to wade through what is legal, what is not, and where to go from here.
The Boone County Board decided a special meeting that gave the go-ahead to a wind farm was null and void, because board members didn’t receive written notice. But some members say written notice rarely happens, and if this decision is revisited all others should be as well.
Despite that and accusations that this is merely a stall tactic brought on by those who didn't get their way, the board chair says if mistakes were made, they need to fixed.
That sentiment gives little comfort to the man behind the project, Wallace Ramsay, who feels he and the citizens of Boone County are losing millions of dollars because of the board’s inability to make a final decision.
