Rockford police are investigating a series of armed robberies from overnight. One woman had her purse stolen just outside the el Tenampa Bar on South Main Street. A taxi driver was pistol whipped, robbed and had his car shot up in the 11-hundred block of Blaisdell. And the Subway off 11th street was also robbed.
