Bank employees are keeping a closer eye on what we're wearing when we head to the bank.
As we first told you last week, area banks are starting a no hats, no hoods, no sunglasses policy.
Area police announced the new policy today. Hundreds of banks in Illinois are posting signs that ask customers to remove hoodies, hats and sunglasses in bank lobbies.
This will take away opportunities for bank robbers to disguise their identities.
Similar programs in other states have discouraged potential robbers.
